Woodland Wilf features on BBC Radio Nottingham with Frances Finn

Woodland Wilf was asked to comment on the world of Gnomes again today on the 9am program on BBC Radio 4 with Frances Finn. Wilfs representative from Solus, Sally Chambers (Head of the Gnome Office) talked fondly about the world of Gnomes and the effect that Wilf is having on the nation’s gardens. Frances opened the debate on Garden Gnomes at 9am this morning and is asking listeners to let her know their thoughts on the subject. Sally openly admitted she carried a torch for Wilf and was a Gnome lover… what will the rest of Nottinghamshire say on the subject??

Woodland Wilf was asked to comment on the world of Gnomes today on the You and Yours programme on BBC Radio 4 with Winifred Robins. Wilfs representative from Solus, Dean Winters travelled to the BBC studio in the Mail Box Birmingham to discuss the world of Gnomes.  The hot topic of rising Gnome popularity was also commented on via telephone interview with renowned gardener David Domoney.  

Woodland Wilf featured in the Daily Mail

“No place like gnome: After years of obscurity, the humble garden ornament is making a surprise comeback” said the Daily Mail today. Wilfs Solus representative Nick Davis was asked to comment for the national newspaper along with sales statistics from Dobbies Garden Centres. The article stated that gnomes are “Back in Fashion: Sales of plastic and pottery gnomes have doubled in the last year – suggesting that a new generation of homeowners are falling in love with the miniature figures”.

After making his mark on Facebook late last year Woodland Wilf felt confident enough today to take the plunge and join Twitter – the first tweet was a bit nerve racking and navigating the site he found a little tricky but Wilf stood proud and thought if Celebrities can do it then so can I.

Woodland Wilf is picked as Editors Choice in Garden Centre Update

Woodland Wilf was proud to hear today that he and his friends were picked as the Editors choice in the January 2011 issue of Garden Centre Update magazine.  Wilf posed proudly in his Golfing gear and his artist’s outfit to have his photo taken for the publication.
